Privacy Policy

This policy explains what personal data CamelVet Store collects and how it is handled.

What we collect

When you order: name, email, telephone, delivery address, stable or organisation name, order contents, payment reference, and the veterinary-use attestation recorded with the order.

When you hold an account: the above, plus your saved address and order history.

When you contact us: the message, your contact details and our reply.

Prescriptions: where a prescription is required, the prescription document and the prescribing veterinarian's details.

Automatically: IP address, browser type, pages viewed and referring page, through standard server logs and analytics.

We do not store card numbers. Payments are handled outside the site.

Why we hold it

• To process, despatch and support your orders
• To meet our record-keeping obligations for veterinary medicine supply
• To provide the customs documentation an international consignment requires
• To answer enquiries and handle complaints
• To send newsletters, where you have subscribed
• To detect and prevent fraud

Who we share it with

Couriers and freight forwarders, to deliver your order. Customs authorities, where a consignment requires it. Payment providers, to process payment. Regulators, where we are legally required to disclose.

We do not sell personal data and we do not share it for third-party marketing.

How long we keep it

Order and prescription records are retained for the period required by veterinary medicines record-keeping rules — generally five years — and then deleted. Account data is retained while the account is open and for five years after the last order. Marketing subscriptions are retained until you unsubscribe.

Your rights

You may ask us to provide a copy of your data, correct inaccurate data, delete data we are not required to keep, or stop sending you marketing. Email the contact address on our contact page and we will respond within 30 days.

Some data cannot be deleted on request because we are legally required to retain it — supply records for prescription medicines in particular.

Cookies

We use cookies necessary for the site to function, including your cart. Where analytics are enabled they are used to understand which pages are useful. You can block cookies in your browser; the cart will not work if you do.

Security

Data is transmitted over TLS and access to order records is restricted to staff who need it. No system is perfectly secure, and we will notify affected customers and the relevant authority promptly if a breach occurs.
